Traffic Directions: LED Warning Lights indicate traffic direction using highly visible green and red lights. This Wheelchair Access Swing Gate features front LEDs that remain green to indicate that the lane is available. The top LED lights will change according to the condition of the gate.

Traffic status indication function: This Self-Closing Pedestrian Security Gate uses intuitive LED lights to indicate whether passage is permitted or prohibited;

Lane status LED: Green if passage is permitted; blue when in standby mode; flashing red if passage is denied.

Alarm function: Infrared sensor alarm function, used for unauthorized intrusion and reverse intrusion situations.

Emergency exit function: Allows free passage in case of emergency or power outage, and automatically resets after power is restored.

Automatic Reset: If a user fails to pass through the designated area after swiping a valid card, the system will automatically revoke the user’s access permission.

Wheelchair and Accessible Passage Design

This pedestrian security gate exists for a lane that a tripod or flap barrier cannot serve: the accessible passage. Its wider opening accepts wheelchairs, walkers, baby strollers and service trolleys, which makes it the compliance lane in an otherwise security-controlled entrance:

Equal access without a staffed side gate. Rather than parking an attendant at a swing door for wheelchair users, the credential system does the work — the same badge, QR or biometric credential that opens the main lanes opens this one.
Dignified, unassisted flow. The user passes at their own pace; the gate holds the panel open until passage is complete and resets automatically.
Goods and equipment flow. The same lane takes cleaning trolleys, delivery cages and wheeled equipment between the secured zone and the lobby — a secondary duty that pays for the lane in daily operations.

Because the gate is the widest opening in the line, it is also the lane intruders would choose. That is why the security package below matters as much as the width.

Security Levels and Alarm Behaviour

An accessible lane is a controlled opening, not an open door. The gate enforces that with a layered behaviour model:

Authorised passage — panel opens for the credential, holds through the passage, resets without a sound.
Unauthorised intrusion — the infrared array detects a body entering without a valid read and raises the intrusion alarm.
Reverse intrusion — movement against the configured flow direction is detected and alarmed separately, catching “wrong-way” entries that often indicate tailgating on the main lanes.
Multi-person passage — two or more people passing on one authorisation triggers the anti-tailgating alarm (Security Level 2), the behaviour that protects the wide lane from becoming the weak lane.
Forced impact — when the panel takes an impact beyond safe limits it returns to its original position automatically, absorbing the hit without structural damage, and the attempt is logged by the access system.
